豆科，决明属常绿乔木。又名泰国山扁豆、孟买黑檀、孟买蔷薇木。因材质坚硬刀斧难入而得名。 本属约500种,广布于热带、亚热带及温带地区，有乔木、灌木与草本。铁刀木系本属中很有经济价值的树种之一。 铁刀木终年常绿、叶茂花美、开花期长、病虫害少，还可用作行道树及防护林树种。树皮、荚果含单宁，可提取栲胶。枝上可放养紫胶虫，生产紫胶。性强健，枝叶苍翠，属低维护优良园景树、行道树、遮荫树、林浴树。庭园、校园、公园、游乐区、庙宇等，单植、列植、群植利用。开花能诱蝶。

Senna siamea

Senna siamea, appelé aussi haricot Thaïlandais, Cassia du Siam ou Casse du Siam, est une espèce d'arbre du genre de Senna de la famille des Fabaceae. Il est trop dur que les couteaux ne puissent pas couper, en cette raison, les gens lui donnent son nom. Il y a environ 500 sortes Senna dans le monde, par exemple, les futaies, les buissons et les herbes. Le Senna siamea est une des espèces ayant la plus haute de la valeur économique. Ils se répartissent dans les zones tropicale, subtropical et tempérée. Le Senna siamea reste vert toute année et il peut rester en floraison longtemps. Donc c’est un bon choix d’utiliser cette plante comme des arbres d'alignement. Et puis, il y a du tannin dans l’écorce et la cabosse, on peut y extraire le tannin extraction. Senna siamea est aussi une sorte d’arbre verdoyant et exubérant. Donc, on les voit souvent dans le parc, l’école, le jardin comme des arbres d'alignement. Ses fleurs peuvent attirer des papillons.

철목

콩과, 결명자속의 상록교목으로서, 태국 육계나무, 뭄바이 흑단, 뭄바이 찔레나무 라고도 불리운다. 그 자재가 칼과 도끼가 들어 가지 않을 정도로 단단하다고 하여 철목이라 부른다. 본속에는 약500종이 포함되며, 열대, 아열대, 온대지방에 널리 분포되어 있으며, 교모, 관목 및 초본 형식으로 존재한다. 철목은 본속중 경제적 가치가 아주 높은 나무중의 하나이다. 철목은 사시장철 푸르고 잎이 무성지며, 꽃이 아름답고 개화기가 길고, 병충해가 적어, 가로수 및 방호림 나무로도 사용하고 있다. 나무껍질과 협과에는 타닌이 함유되어 있어 타닌엑스가 추출된다.나무가지에는 랙벌레를 길러 랙을 생산할 수 있다. 이 나무는 건실하고 잎이 푸르고 크게 가꾸어 안줘도 되는 우량한 조경수, 가로수, 그늘나무, 삼림욕 나무로 쓰이며, 정원, 교원, 공원, 유락장, 절 등에 단독으로 또는 줄을 지어, 또는  군락을 지어 심을 수 있다. 개화시절에는 나비들이 찾아 온다.

Indian rose chestnut

It is an evergreen tree of Cassia L., Leguminosae. The tree is also named as Thailand senna, Bombay ebony and Bombay rosewood. It gets its name because the texture is very hard to chop in. The genus has about 500 species widely distributed in tropical, sub-tropical and temperate zones which are arbors, shrubs and herbaceous plants. Indian rose chestnut is one of tree species in the genus that have pretty much economic value. It has green leaves throughout the year, thriving leaves and beautiful flowers, long booming periods and few diseases and insect pests, and the tree can serve as the street tree and for shelter forests. The bark and legume contain tannin and tannin extract could be extracted. Lac insects can be raised on branches to produce lac. The tree has a strong nature, green branches and leaves, making it a low-maintenance good specimen tree, street trade, shade tree and forest bath tree. The tree is planted alone or in rows and clusters in courtyards, schools, parks, playgrounds, temples, etc. Its flowers attract butterflies.   

ต้นขี้เหล็ก

ชื่อภาษาจีนแปลว่า “ไม้มีดเหล็ก”  เป็นพืชในสกุล Leguminosae มีชื่อเรียกในแต่ละท้องถิ่นที่แตกต่างกัน เช่น ขี้เหล็กแก่น ขี้เหล็กบ้าน ขี้เหล็กหลวง ขี้เหล็กใหญ่ ผักจี้ลี้ ยะหา และขี้เหล็กจิหรี่  ด้วยเหตุที่เป็นไม้เนื้อแข็งดุจดังเหล็กกล้าจึงได้รับการขนานนามว่า ขี้เหล็ก ไม้ที่จัดอยู่ในวงศ์นี้มีกว่า 500 ชนิด  เกิดมากในบริเวณเขตร้อน และร้อนชื้น เช่น กวางตุ้ง และแถบเอเชียตะวันเอเฉียงใต้   เป็นไม้ใบเขียวตลอดทั้งปี ใบดก ดอกสวย บานทนนาน  แมลงศัตรูพืชน้อย  เปลือกไม้และฝักสามารถนำมาสกัดสารแทนนินเพื่อใช้ในกิจการทำหนัง  ตามกิ่งสามารถเพาะเลี้ยงครั่ง  Lacciferlacca  เพื่อผลิตยางจากครั่ง  ลำต้นและกิ่งแข็ง เหนียวและทนทาน มักใช้เป็นพืชที่ปลูกให้ความร่วมเย็นตามทางเดินเท้า ให้ร่วมเงาภายในสวน สถานที่ราชการ สวนสาธารณะ โรงเรียน สวนสนุก วัด สามารถปลูกเป็นต้นเดี่ยว หรือเป็นทิวแถว เป็นกลุ่มก็ได้ ดอกล่อแมลงผีเสื้อได้ดี
