Cissus sicyoides, also known as bead curtain vine, originally grows in tropical America. It has thin branches, tendril and heart-shaped leaves. The plant has light green flowers in summer and autumn and yields fruits in July and August. The most special part of Cissus sicyoides lies in the thin and long aerial roots growing from stipes, and the aerial roots overhang in the shed frame. When there is breeze, the aerial roots swing like a hidden curtain, and the scene is pretty picturesque. The aerial roots try hard to seek for water and soil and extend continuously until they take root in earth to absorb nutrients, and then the leaves are more green, flowers are more beautiful and the whole plant has deep roots and luxuriant leaves.
